What You Will Do

- JOB SUMMARY

The Application Solution Architect is responsible for analysis, solution design and deployment of application remediations as part of the AUTP transformation program to adopt global SAP S4 and Blue Yonder platforms for the US market and Americas factories.

- WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Analyse impact of global SAP S4 template adoption on spoke applications including process changes, data model changes, data conversion requirements (spokes & downstream), application changes & integration requirements
  • Work with Business Partners, IT resources and Enterprise Architecture to develop Functional and Technical specifications to remediate applications following global standards and strategy
  • Identify options and develop Key Decision Documents to support strategic decisions to deliver business objectives through spoke applications within the global SAP S4 framework
  • Develop comprehensive delivery strategy for application remediation coordinated with overall program delivery timelines
  • Work with local, global and 3rd party delivery teams to ensure that resources are sized and deployed to meet build, test and deploy deadlines.
  • Manage the identification and management of project/programme interdependencies along with the associated risks and issues.
  • Collaborate with Data, Integration and Development resources to manage application remediation to adopt SAP S4 standard data model, integration methods and processes.
  • Leverage Imperial assets and third-party relationships in architecting solutions
  • Bring operational experience to bear to ensure proposed solutions are deliverable at an acceptable risk to Imperial.
  • Build strong links with and working collaboratively within Business Process Leads, Data & IT Tower Leads and Global IT groups (e.g. Enterprise Architecture, and Solutions Delivery).

Qualifications

- REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Educated to degree level, ideally in Information Technology, Engineering Business, Economics or equivalent
  • A proven track record in managing the delivery of complex, cross-functional and cross-geography IT programmes relevant to the Platform with at least 10+ years of experience of working in IT
  • 10+ years of architecture experience in a complex global environment.
  • A track record of driving business change as part of IT program delivery with a demonstrated ability to assess evidence and make decisions that challenge the business norm
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with proven ability of building and managing key relationships with internal IS and business stakeholders
  • Excellent IT supplier and people management skills with experience of working with teams spread across multiple locations and time zones, including local staff, global teams and third-party resources

Engaging, articulate and able to influence across internal IS and business stakeholders

- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • SAP ECC to SAP S4 upgrade experience or equivalent complexity projects with significant application remediations
  • Experience delivering solutions within global organizations and governance models
  • Experience integrating applications with SAP S4 using SAP BTP highly desirable
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and/or Salesforce Consumer Goods Cloud
  • Understanding of data lakes such as Microsoft Azure Data Lake
  • Knowledge of the consumer products industry, with tobacco industry knowledge a plus
