What You Will Do

- JOB SUMMARY

Position is primarily responsible for executing organization design for new lines in GSO to deliver world class results. Position coaches' facilities in developing & consolidating world class manufacturing systems, creating an environment of continuous improvement, sustained in work processes & culture to deliver transformation of GSO factory. Define program key objectives by year/by phase according to Compelling Business Needs & implementation of objectives/systems that ensure compliance on a global basis. Execute Company’s operational excellence efforts & provide overall leadership, coaching to create right organization design since day zero, implement operational excellence in new production lines. Execute new programs & leverage current efforts to achieve new levels of excellence. Provide excellence in execution & partners with internal, external Continuous Improvement (CI) practitioners to further develop excellence principles, standards for the Company.

- WHAT YOU WILL DO

(This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary by the Company). Lead  Hoshin/operations strategy definition. Execute strategy & develop multi-year improvement plan. Create CBN laser focus, create PDCA work process to instrument CBN delivery year after year

Lead implementation of Imperial Operating Systems (IWS) to deliver Manufacturing excellence program. Coordinate efforts to execute all aspects of operational excellence efforts

Manage efforts to create cultural change to deliver IOS world class results thru Synchronization with Right planning, Production sequences, fixed/frozen zones management, Master production Scheduling optimization

Implement strategies across all functions to deliver & sustain best-in-class efficiency across all business & manufacturing systems. Build foundation for a culture of continuous improvement, PDCA cycles – Operating Department Management thinking process, laser focus, Daily direction setting, Root Cause Analysis, Quality Factors, Optimum material flow, Change overs optimization, Preventive Maintenance, Autonomous Teams-High Performance organizations

Creates Organization Design (work Processes, Structure, Roles/Job Descriptions & Information Systems)

Provides capability, capacity in company’s manufacturing & supply chain functions (Safety, Product Quality, Production, Cash, inventory, logistics and customer delivery) to deliver world class results

Coach, train, develop employees, direct & indirect reports, to increase network capabilities. Create strong culture within team & model Company values, behaviors

Root Cause Analysis, Zero Mind Set mentality, Safety/Quality by choice not by chance, Nothing is worth getting hurt/nonconformities, Accidents/Nonconformities can and must be prevented, Start with the consumer in mind, Collaborate with purpose, Be authentic inclusive to all, Collaborate with leadership cross-functionally to ensure effective execution of improvement projects while reviewing P&L scope, resources needs, business objectives

Start Up new lines according to success criteria matrix & Ramp down Legacy technology with flowless transition thru coordination of team perform:  CQV success criteria (IQ/OQ/PQ), Technology transfer & training plan for organization, Machine Functioning training & Trouble shooting for this technology, Components inspection & Maintenance, Operational Procedures, Interface with/influence various corporate functions as well as local plant leadership, Set standards across  business to lead design and implementation of world class standard to remove losses from organization, Execute reliability strategy, activities into overall corporate & business initiatives, Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

- REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • MBA is desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or related discipline and 10+ years of relevant work
  • 10+ years experience in IWS (Integrated Work System): Hoshing Development, Root Cause Analysis, Supply chain synchronization-Fixed zone management.
  • 10+ years related supervisory experience
  • Must be 21 years of age or older

 

Knowledge of:

  • Supply Chain Management and Integration
  • Continuous improvement best practices
  • Project management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams

- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or related discipline and 7+ years of relevant work
  • 10+ years related supervisory experience
  • IWS/TPM/Lean/Six Sigma Certification
  • Experience in union environment

Work Environment and Physical Demand

  • Requires moderate physical effort. Occasionally lifts or moves moderate to heavy weight objects (10 – 50 lbs.) 
  • Stand and/or sit for prolonged periods 
  • Requires prolonged machine operation including computer and keyboard equipment 
  • Use of manual dexterity and fine motor skills 
  • Work with equipment or perform procedures where carelessness may result in injury 
  • Experience exposure to uncomfortable work environment due to extreme temperature, noise level, and other conditions including second-hand smoke and/or vape
