We are currently searching for Purchasing Agent at our Operations facility located in Greensboro, North Carolina.

As the Purchasing Agent, you will work closely with the Manager of Purchasing and the purchasing team within the Factory Supply Chain Department to manage direct materials, indirect materials, services, and maintain and manage supplier and vendor relationships. 


  • Undertakes in-depth analysis and planning to enable effective material sourcing and supplier negotiations.
  • Purchases assigned materials and services assigned by locating qualified sources of supply and negotiating all contractual terms.
  • Responsible for assigned subcategory strategy development, including commercial interaction, material and service analysis and optimization, identification and implementation of cost improvement opportunities, and various other related activities.
  • Develop relationships and continually work with key stakeholders (Operations, PD, Regulatory, QA, Engineering, and additional departments as necessary) to ensure appropriate sourcing service level and fulfillment of commercial requirements.
  • Full responsibility over assigned suppliers to ensure: continuous improvement process, conflict resolution, supplier's product compliance, quality assessments/reviews when needed, risk assessment.
  • Support planning, coordination, and realization of procurement projects to drive continuous improvement within the procurement function.
  • Ensures adequate competition and alternate sources of supply by periodically reviewing items purchased relative to cost and availability.
  • Develop in-depth material knowledge to support subcategory strategy and supplier’s industry characteristics/restrictions.


Job Requirements




  • Bachelor’s degree with 1+ year of experience or 
  • Bachelor’s degree within BSC, Engineering, or related studies with 3+ years of experience.  



  • Purchasing Management Certification preferred.

Related Work Experience 

  • 2+ years FMG industry experience preferred.

  • The salary range for this position is $48,000 - $65,000 annually.
